OPEN THE LINE OF THE REPAIR ORDER in FUEL Service Department software
You should be clocked in the FUEL Service Department software in order to open the line. Refer to the Clock in yourself in FUEL Service Department software page for more information.
Use the Open Line function to open the line in service software, in case it needs additional work, or to remove the Hold status from the line. Use the following steps to open the line of the repair order in FUEL Service Department software:

Important:
  • You can open only the line, to which you are assigned, otherwise the following message appears: You cannot open line as you are not assigned to this line. Refer to the Assign yourself to the line in FUEL Service Department software page for more information.
  • Only the lines with the Hold and Finished statuses can be opened. It is not possible to open the lines with either Assigned or Working statuses.

  1. Select the necessary line of the repair order from the lines grid on the Technician Terminal window of the service and repair software.
  2. Click the Open button or select RO Line / Open line on the menu.

  • If the line has the Hold status in service software, the repair order had the Veh. disabled status, there are at least two lines on hold and the Open button is clicked, the 'Is vehicle available for other repairs' message appears. Click the No button to leave the Veh. Disabled status of the repair order. Click the Yes button to set the AVL / Line on hold status of the repair order.
  • If the line has the Finished status in service software, and the Open button is clicked, the Estimated Duration window appears asking the user to update the estimated duration of the work. Enter the new value in the Estimated duration field, if necessary, and click the OK button. From the moment the new estimated duration is entered, the system starts tracking the time anew, even if the line has actual hours, they are not taken into consideration, when the Left column is updated. That means that if the line is put to work again, the system will update the Left column as follows: Left = New Estimated Duration - New Actual Hours. The Actual column will show the sum of the old actual hours value and the new actual hours value.

  1. The status of the line becomes Assigned in FUEL Service Department software.
