Technician Terminal in FUEL Service Department software
As well as the Dispatch Monitor, the Technician Terminal is used for coordination of technicians work and managing the process of the vehicles repair in FUEL Service Department software. In the Technician Terminal, technicians can assign or remove themselves from the lines, put themselves to work on the lines, to which they are assigned, partially finish, finish, and put the line on hold etc.

Use the following steps to open the Technician Terminal window in FUEL Service Department software:

  1. Select Modules / Technician Terminal on the main menu or select Technician Terminal from the Navigation Pane. The main Technician Terminal window contains the following information:

    RO Number - The number of the repair order auto-generated by the FUEL Service Department software.
    Tag - The tag number of the vehicle, which is usually three last digits of the VIN.
    Customer Name - The name of the owner of the vehicle: either individual or company.
    Service Advisor - The name of the service advisor, who created the repair order.
    VIN - The 17-digit vehicle identification number assigned by the manufacturer. Each VIN number is unique and contains a code that gives considerable information about the vehicle, including country of origin, manufacturer, and model year.
    Make - The code of the vehicle manufacturer.
    Model - The code of the vehicle model.
    Year - The year the vehicle was manufactured.
    Promised Date - The date the repair is expected to be completed.
    Closed Date - The date the repair order was closed.
    Waiter - If it is checked, then the customer is waiting for the work on this repair order to be completed.
    Status - The current status of the repair order.


  2. Double click on the necessary repair order or right click on it and select the Technician Terminal option from the context menu. The following information is displayed on the Technician Terminal window:

  • You should have the technician role in FUEL Service Department software in order to work with the Technician Terminal. Otherwise, the following message appears, when you open the Technician Terminal: You do not have a technician role and will not be able to work with all the features of the Technician Terminal. Do you want to open it anyway? Refer to the Define employee roles in FUEL Service Department software page for the information about the roles of the employees in the system.

  • You should be clocked in the system in order to start working with the Technician Terminal. Refer to the Clock in FUEL Service Department software page for more information.


  • Refer to the Repair order header information in FUEL Service Department software page for the header information.
    Line - The letter denoting the order of the line on the current repair order.
    Skill - The dispatch code used by the Dispatching system for calculating hours to sell.
    ST -
    Description - The description of the operation performed on the current line.
    Technician - The control number(s) of the technician(s) assigned to the current line.
    Estimated duration - The estimated amount of time for performing the current labor operation.
    Actual - The actual amount of time in hours the technician worked on the current labor operation. The value of the field gets updated when the technician is put to work on the line.
    Left - The amount of time left for performing the current labor operation.
    Status - The status of the repair on the current line.
    Change at -
    CBK - Shows whether the current operation is a comeback.
    Hold time - The amount of time left for the line to be put off hold. As the time passes by the value of the field decreases. When the hold time is expired the value of the field is 0.

The following actions can be performed on the Technician Terminal module window:

      Assign yourself to the line in FUEL Service Department software
      Remove yourself from the line in FUEL Service Department software
      Put yourself to work on the line in FUEL Service Department software
      Open the line in FUEL Service Department software
      Finish the line in FUEL Service Department software
      Finish the line partially in FUEL Service Department software
      Put the line on hold in FUEL Service Department software
